Stephen T. Desirey, CFPIM PMP and
Rajesh Sundar, Partner, Linear Logics Corp.
Mobility Apps is a common phrase that we see and hear daily in relationship to entertainment devices, telecommunications and digital marketing. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg on what is becoming available with new digital technologies. Members of the ABPMP Philadelphia Chapter are all zealots for improving business processes. Our April meeting will feature a demo on deploying mobility to transpose rather complicated business processes to significant clarity. As a demo, we will take a challenging business process such as end-to-end customer forecasting from the voice of the customer to the computer transaction systems managing inventory. Sounds impossible? The app that will be demonstrated is from a local company, Linear Logics Corporation and was one of the top 3 mobile apps selected from the SAP Tech Ed Conference in Las Vegas this past fall. You will see typical examples of processes where human intervention does much to complicate the process with financial conversions, stretch goals, personal bias, lack of confidence in the customer and taking on too wide of a sample all contributing to a forecast that does not meet the business need. Mobility can significantly simplify and correct this current state. However, you have to see the results to believe it..
