My Success Story

"As Part of my current role -Business Analyst-Enterprise Process Management, I analyze client’s business requirements and processes through document analysis, interviews, workshops, and workflow analysis. Using the knowledge, I acquired from the CBOK, I have been able to appreciate the importance of following the BPM lifecycle while implementing the BPM initiatives in our organization. I have appreciated the importance of having a BPM framework and as a result of this we have formed a team of BPM staff-representatives from all departments with whom we have embarked on identifying and documenting processes of the organization.

Through the ABPMP International, my colleagues and I have been able to attain the first level of the BPM certification i.e. Certified Business Process Associate. Taking, and passing, the exam was a wonderful experience for me, as well as for my colleagues. It has further boosted our confidence in the work that we do and has also increased our zeal to keep creating awareness on proper BPM practices across the organization because we know the benefits that come with it. Some of these benefits include:

With support of the top management, my team and I have further supported our clients’ systems by conducting business modelling of the AS-IS processes, analysis through running simulations to identify loopholes/weak points in the process, envisage the TO-BE process models and monitor the performance of processes to ensure they are supporting the business needs to achieve the set target of the organization. Personally, ABPMP International has supported me by providing a platform to gain valuable knowledge on BPM standards , customer service, data management and risk analysis."

My Success Story

"When I was on my journey to become a CBPP, I realized there were not many resources available at that time in Spanish to help me prepare. I began reaching out to all available chapters in Latin America and started growing a network of likeminded and passionate BPM professionals. Soon, I got the opportunity to start collaborating with them, and even became a guest speaker at the BPM Day in Peru.

For the past twelve months I´ve had the opportunity to collaborate with several chapter leaders on different webinars and I recently launched my YouTube Channel "Hablemos de Procesos" (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCG9RHCIhUPwgg_vsMQRCY-Q), where we are currently running two different seasons, one focused on covering the content of the CBOK in Spanish—one chapter at a time—, and the other hosting interviews with ABPMP chapter presidents from other countries in Latin America and Spain. This way, I’m able to start creating content that can benefit others as they prepare to get certified, while simultaneously broadening their professional network."

My Success Story

"My current job title is IT Governance and Process Manager. My role is to create and manage the scope of different programs in my organization. After reading the ABPMP CBOK, I was able to add more focused objectives to the project scope by following the standards of BPM Center of Excellence. It enhanced the readiness of the processes we used and helped me determine which level of detail each process should be (High level – Low level). This allowed me to successfully track value during the process lifecycle.

The ABPMP CBOK has also widened my knowledge regarding how BPM can be used to integrate technology into process management. The CBOK taught me the main steps to lead a successful BPM implementation for both my company and the stakeholders – and how to choose the appropriate stakeholders for true process improvement.

The knowledge I gained from ABPMP helped me focus on developing core processes within my organization, which was a key milestone for the completion of the program."
