    <span style="font-family: " droid="" sans="" ",=" " arial,=" " verdana,=" " sans-serif;=" " text-align:=" " justify;=" " background-color:=" " rgb(255,=" " 255,=" " 255);"="">Averse to being ‘the year of the coronavirus’, there have been quite some positive global technological and sociocultural advances in the middle of the present tempestuous period. This article takes advantage of the recent zenith that robotic process
        automation (RPA) is experiencing, with special emphasis on the associated hyperautomation form. It upholds on the latest state of software robots, technology, and business process management (BPM) knowledge, to insinuate the controversial case
        of having robots replacing humans for full time business process jobs. Up-to-date data is analysed as part of the methodology to understand the relevance of the research, including the application of Delphi techniques with a group or panel of
        international experts from Europe, Africa, America, Asia and Oceania. Prompted by the hypothesis that hyperautomation can be used to fulfil a manager role in a BPM organisation, the text elaborates on the technologies used to manage BPM, the role
        of a BPM manager robot and the demonstration. It determines, based on the final judgement of the panel majority, that it is possible to have an RPA robot fulfil a BPM manager role, and complements with constructive criticism and lessons on how
        to do BPM the right way.</span>

<title>Highlighting Scott Whitmire&apos;s Presentation for the National Guard Bureau’s Best Practices Symposium</title>

<description><![CDATA[<p><img src="https://www.abpmp.org/resource/resmgr/news/rma_high_res_png.png" style="width: 200px; height: 61px;"></p><p>RMA Associates, LLC has a team of professionals that advise and provide Business Transformation services to the United States’ Army National Guard (ARNG). Three of RMA’s Senior Business Advisors are members of the ABPMP. One of the Seniors attended an ABPMP webinar in which Mr. Scott Whitmire, an Enterprise Architect, presented “Measuring Business Processes.” Within this presentation, Mr. Whitmire brought to light the importance and power of using metrics to create accountability and for decision making. Such a presentation was a perfect message for the ARNG.</p> <p>The ARNG subscribes to an Integrated Management System (IMS) as its Business Model. The U.S. Army’s IMS is process oriented, and ARNG’s appetite to better harness the use of process measures as part of performance management is fledgling. We knew Mr. Whitmire’s presentation was a great fit to the National Guard Bureau’s Best Practices Symposium and to help drive home the science and importance of selecting the right metrics as appropriate key indicators. Between seventy to ninety attendees listened to Mr. Whitmire live presentation and asked probing questions till the end of the designated hour. His presentation was well received and gave many of the attendees a renewed appreciation for the power and purpose of process metrics. </p> <p>The U.S. Army National Guard’s Business Transformation Office hosts an Annual Best Practices Symposium each year. In past years, the Symposium was a one-day event held in Wash DC. For this year, the BTO Chief and staff wanted to expand the Symposium to a three-day professional development event. As with most large gathering events, this year’s Symposium shifted to a virtual platform. The virtual event facilitated the invitation of various speakers and attendees from across the United States. Topics included the relevance of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, Strategic Execution, Lean Six Sigma methodology, Performance Management, Knowledge Management, Reform Initiatives, and Public Partnerships among other subjects. By all accounts, the 2020 ARNG Best Practices Symposium was a success.</p><hr><p><img src="https://www.abpmp.org/resource/resmgr/headshots/scott_whitmire.jpg" style="width: 100px; height: 125px; margin-right: 10px; margin-bottom: 5px; float: left;">Scott Whitmire has over 40 years as a software engineer, business architect, and enterprise architect, with experience in telecommunications, retail, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, banking, and professional practice. As an enterprise-level architect, Scott has designed and implemented business architectures that center on processes and customer experiences, and the measures to link them together.
