Tony Benedict

Tony Benedict is a CEO / COO steeped in Operations, having led step-change results in manufacturing-based companies in industries ranging from healthcare to pharmaceuticals, to semiconductors. He is well known for his ability to apply strategic principles and quickly grasp entirely new industries. He has guided Global Fortune 50 companies such as GlaxoSmithKline and Intel. Today, he is a Partner with Omicron Partners, LLC, a Strategy and Operations advisory firm. He is open to new opportunities and Board assignments.

Most recently, Benedict was recruited to HonorHealth as the top Procurement and Supply Chain executive. At HonorHealth, he restructured the procurement and supply chain organizations post-merger and consolidated two ERP systems. Previously, he was Chief Information Officer, Vice President of Supply Chain for Tenet Health, and Vice President, Supply Chain, Vanguard Health Systems at Abrazo Community Health Network. He was originally hired as VP Supply Chain to bring operational costs in line with declining hospital procedural volumes and net revenue. Based on the results achieved, was asked to take a concurrent role as CIO.

Tony’s Board credentials include President and Director, Board of Directors for the Association of Business Process Management Professionals International, and is a Board Fellow certified, active with The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) at both the national and local chapter levels. Benedict received a bachelor’s in psycho-biology from Albright College and a Master’s of Business Administration with a specialization in finance and operations from University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business. He is a co-author of the Business Process Management Common Body of Knowledge versions 2 and 3. He is an Adjunct Professor and has taught Project Management at Arizona State University.

BIO 2

Fernando is a member of ABPMP since 2012 and became president of Portugal Chapter in 2014. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at Lisbon Accounting and Business School and has over 30 years prior experience in information technology companies. Fernando found his passion for projects and BPM while at the SAS Institute, based in North Carolina, USA, where he was an Industry Manager for Public Sector & Healthcare.

He has a PhD in computer science and management to lead and guide students in scientific, innovative and management related projects around the world. He has established himself as a unique practitioner in Portugal, combining his academic degree with the practice in business projects obtained (CBPP).

Fernando translated the BPM CBOK 4.0 into Portuguese (native) and has been acting as a Regional Director for Western Europe. He is also currently working on Certification Committee Team to add BPM CBOK 4.0 content and exam questions for release of the new CBPA and CBPP exams in 2021.

He has attended several board meetings by invitation and through his experience as a CBPP, seeks to help ABPMP to increase the number of members, certifications and chapters in Europe. One of the goals is create the foundational base for a Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries, through the Portuguese version of BPM CBOK 4.0.

Kay Winkler

Mr. Winkler is the current president of Panama and Central America Chapter of ABPMP. He is a professional in BPM, has a consulting company specialized in BPM, he has prepared several professionals in Panama for the CBPP certification, and he speaks several languages, including English and Spanish. In this role, he will be able to effectively assist new chapters, specifically in emerging markets to establish themselves, become sustainable and to grow in membership as well as certification headcount.

Kay, he is a passionate leader and expert in business process management. He is constantly searching for ways to promote and create awareness of the impact and value that a proper business process management approach can generate. Not only from a theoretical perspective but also from a very practical and hands-on experience, he is able to engage like-minded people and individuals who are just starting on their road towards a process-oriented mindset. As the leader of the Central America Chapter, he coordinates all efforts across multiple countries and maintains a very active community of subject matter experts, engaging and collaborating consistently. He would be a very valuable incorporation to the leadership team and would also make a significant contribution to making the CBOK available in Spanish to reach even more audiences and new markets.
